Frequently Asked Questions
Cut stainless steel letters are used for architectural signage, corporate buildings, public institutions, and wayfinding. Their modern, high-end finish makes them a popular choice for both interior and exterior environments.
These letters are waterjet-cut from solid sheets of stainless steel, producing precise shapes and crisp edges. The face is then finished with either a brushed or polished finish for a clean, contemporary appearance.
Finishes include brushed satin and polished (mirror-like). Brushed is most common for interior or professional signage. Polished adds high reflectivity and is often used for lobbies, museums, or high-profile exterior branding.
Alloy 304 is the standard for most indoor and general outdoor signage. For coastal, marine, or high-humidity environments, alloy 316 is recommended due to its enhanced corrosion resistance. We offer both grades based on your location and needs.
Standard acrylic letter sizes range from 2″ to 24″ tall. Thickness is typically ¼″, ⅜″, ½″, or 1″, with custom options available. We’ll recommend the best thickness based on your letter size and installation surface.
Mounting options include stud mount (standard), stud + spacer (for dimensional effect), or double-sided tape (for small interior letters). We include all hardware, templates, and offer nationwide installation services.
