Frequently Asked Questions
Cast bronze letters are ideal for building names, dedications, public institutions, and memorial signage where a classic, dimensional look is desired. The casting process creates depth, permanence, and timeless appeal for both interior and exterior applications.
We offer brushed, polished, oxidized, and patina finishes. Brushed satin is the most popular choice, while oxidized and verde patinas add character for historic or traditional installations. All finishes are sealed with a clear coat for long-term outdoor durability.
Cast aluminum letters are available in standard sizes from 2″ to 24″ tall, with depths typically ranging from ⅜″ to 1½″ depending on letter height and font. Larger letters are cast with more depth for a balanced appearance.
Most cast bronze letters are stud-mounted directly to the wall, stone, or façade surface for a secure installation. While spacers are available, they’re typically not used — most applications favor flush mounting without a hollow gap behind the letters. We provide an installation pattern, mounting hardware, and offer professional installation nationwide.
Cast bronze letters are made in molds, creating a deeper profile and sculptural form. They’re ideal for serif fonts and traditional aesthetics. Cut bronze letters are waterjet-cut from flat bronze sheets and have a thinner, sharper-edged appearance — best suited for modern fonts or minimal designs.
A prismatic face features angled bevels that rise to a peak in the center of each letter stroke. This enhances depth, elegance, and visibility by reflecting light from multiple angles. Prismatic faces are available in standard fonts like Architectural and Trajan.
Yes. We can create custom font styles or logo letterforms in cast bronze — including prismatic faces. Custom molds require additional time and cost, but allow for completely unique designs. Our team will review your artwork and advise on feasibility.
Absolutely. Cast bronze is one of the most durable materials for outdoor signage. It’s corrosion-resistant and well-suited for all climates. Even with a protective clear coat, bronze will gradually develop a rich natural patina — a desirable aesthetic that enhances the timeless character of the sign.
After receiving your deposit, we’ll send a detailed digital layout showing font, size, spacing, and mounting. You can request up to two revisions. Once approved, we begin production and ship your letters with all hardware and instructions.
Our online builder gives an approximate length based on your phrase and letter height. In the proofing phase, we’ll show the exact dimensions and can mock up your lettering on a photo of your building for scale reference.
Yes. Cast bronze letters can be backlit using LED modules installed behind the letters, paired with a Lexan backing to diffuse the light. This halo-lit effect is popular for building façades and monument signs. We include the LEDs, power supply, and mounting system. Note that access behind the wall or structure is required for wiring.
