Frequently Asked Questions
Bronze plaques are either cast or precision tooled, depending on the layout and design. All plaques feature raised lettering and traditional background textures. Both methods result in a durable, high-quality plaque designed for long-term exterior use.
We offer brushed satin, polished, and oxidized finishes, all sealed with a protective clear coat. Over time, bronze may naturally darken or develop a greenish patina, enhancing character without affecting readability.
Aluminum plaques can be customized with raised or recessed text, logos, and photo or image elements. Backgrounds can be painted in a range of standard or Pantone-matched colors. Shape, border, and mounting style can also be customized to suit your needs.
Post-mounted plaques are typically installed in landscaped areas, memorial gardens, parks, or walkways. The plaque is affixed to one or two aluminum square posts using a bracket system. Studs on the back of the plaque align with the mounting bracket, and the plaque can be angled at 90 or 45 degrees. Posts are secured in concrete for long-term stability.
A single post mount supports plaques up to 576 square inches (24" x 24"). For plaques larger than this, we’ll provide a two-post mounting system for added support and durability.
Yes. Post-mounted plaques are designed for installation in soft ground (such as turf, mulch, or soil) using concrete footings. If mounting into concrete or a hardscape, we’ll provide specs for core drilling and anchoring. We can also custom weld a base to the post for bolting to concrete — this requires a custom quote and additional lead time.
We offer several options: - Bas Relief: Sculpted by hand and cast in bronze - Photo Relief: Converted from a photo to a low-relief bronze rendering - Etched Metal: Suitable for fine line work or illustrations - UV Printed: Full-color images for indoor or protected outdoor use
