These are fabricated hollow letters made from COR-TEN steel sheet, typically built to a 2" depth. The faces and returns are welded to create durable, three-dimensional forms, with LEDs mounted inside to produce a glowing halo effect.
COR-TEN naturally weathers to form a protective rust patina. This controlled oxidation process begins soon after exposure and stabilizes within months, giving each installation its unique character while protecting the steel underneath.
Yes. While most projects use the natural, evolving patina, we can pre-weather or seal the steel to minimize run-off and preserve a more uniform look. A clear sealer is often recommended for installations near light-colored walls or paving.
LEDs are mounted inside the hollow 2" deep returns, with an acrylic or Lexan backer to diffuse light evenly. Wiring exits through the back of each letter and connects to a low-voltage power supply. An installation wiring diagram is always provided.
Fabricated COR-TEN letters are usually stud-mounted with spacers to create clearance for the halo glow. Installation templates and hardware are included for precise alignment.

Typical lead time is 4–5 weeks. If a pre-weathered finish is requested before shipping, additional time may be required to achieve the stabilized patina.
